Rose Porter and Katie Dembik, family friends, are raising funds to help support Kevin and Teresa with household bills, medical bills, and other expenses.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Kevin has entered hospice home care after his courageous battle with Stage 4 colon cancer.

Kevin has fought with incredible strength and determination, but as his condition has progressed rapidly, the focus is now on keeping him comfortable and surrounded by the people he loves most. During this heartbreaking time, Teresa is doing everything she can to hold things together for their two daughters, Isabelle (17) and MacKenzie (13), who are approaching important milestones—graduating high school and middle school.

Alongside the emotional toll, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Teresa lost her job in Spring 2025 due to company downsizing and has been unemployed since. In a bittersweet turn of events, she has just secured a new job that is set to begin next week.

Right now, Teresa is facing an impossible choice. She wants to be by Kevin’s side for every remaining moment, supporting him and their daughters through this devastating time. But she is also afraid to turn down this job, knowing she will soon be solely responsible for supporting her family—covering the mortgage, utilities, food, school and college expenses, and funeral costs.

Our hope is to lift that burden so Teresa does not have to choose between being present with Kevin during this time and securing her family’s future.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward mortgage payments, utilities, food, for several months, education expenses, and funeral costs.
