Aid for Teresa's Family After Her Loss To Cancer

Donation protected
For the past 3 years, Teresa lived with her two daughters (Michael) and her three grandchildren (ages 3, 6, and 14). Together, they had a house in Denver, Colorado - full of endless sleepovers, movie nights, and memories. The decision to live together was rooted in the shared value for family, intentional time, and continued experiences.

Sippin’ Piña Coladas, feet in the sand, and cheek to cheek with her best friends, Teresa spent a week in March cruising the waters of Mexico - in celebration of life, friendship, and another year around the sun. A trip she had looked forward to for over a year. Exactly 2 days after she returned home, tragedy struck the family. Teresa was quickly diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Cancer. The news was shocking and incredibly heart breaking, for herself and the immediate family. And yet, Teresa continued pouring into her grandchildren and spreading laughter throughout the home. It was clear that Teresa was a fighter and one determined woman.

Quickly, she fell ill to the disease and spent several days in the hospital. By the Grace of God, she was able to recoup her energy just in time to fly to California and witness the birth of her 4th grandchild. Upon returning home, she again found herself ill and hospitalized.

June 4th, Teresa was placed in Hospice services in Denver, Colorado where she experienced her last Earthly moments; and on June 5th, Teresa took her last breath before taking her journey home in passing. A soul that loved loudly, cared deeply, and sought guidance through serving the Lord. Her humor, pure embodiment of love, and contagious laughter will forever echo in memory and stories shared amongst her loved ones.

Our mother was the matriarch of the family; facilitating holidays, excursions, and continuous family dinners. Losing her is a huge devastation for the family, particularly for my sister and I. Financially, this loss has prompted an unfortunate scenario for us both, as the speed of her declined health prevented preparation and processing for us all. Teresa provided childcare for her grandchildren, alleviating a huge monthly cost for Stormi and her family. Stormi also had to take over a month of work off to support our mother in care, appointments, and day to day activities. To add towards the hardship, Eboni is within the initial weeks of having her first child through c-section; requiring her to travel from California to Colorado to support and facilitate the final arrangements. Included in the final arrangements, we are having to pack the home in Denver, Colorado and make a 3 hour move back to her hometown; a decision made prior to her passing and in result of her cancer diagnosis.

If it is within your capacity and heart to support our family during this time, we would greatly appreciate it. All money will go to support the cost of the funeral, service, and transition of our Mother. If you would prefer to support financially through alternative options, you can contribute to the Teresa Witte Memorial Fund at GNBank in Eads, Colorado by calling (719) [phone redacted] or mailing checks to 1220 Maine St, Eads, CO 81036.

Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, and PayPal are also avenues available by contacting Stormi or Eboni directly.
