On December 5th, our family faced an unimaginable challenge as my mother-in-law, Tammy, suffered her third stroke, plunging our world into uncertainty. This latest stroke not only caused a clot in her brain but also necessitated immediate surgery—a stark reminder of the fragility of life and health. What’s even more heart-wrenching is that she was still recovering from a stroke she had experienced earlier in January.

At this moment, my father-in-law, William, is by her side in the hospital, navigating a reality that has become increasingly difficult over the past year. With Tammy's health on such a precarious path, William has been unable to work consistently, creating additional strain on their family’s financial situation.

The road to recovery for Tammy is daunting. Following her surgery, she faces an extensive rehabilitation process. Her health complications have led to her being intubated multiple times, and she is now reliant on a tracheostomy and feeding tube for her basic needs.
