Aid for Sean's Surgery and Family Bills
Donation protected
On behalf of my best friend’s family and myself I want to thank you for taking the time to check out our fundraiser.
For the TLDR crowd here’s the jist: We’re raising money for a family of 3 to stay on top of their bills while the primary breadwinner recovers from an invasive surgery, aid with the medical bills associated with the surgery, and pay for their 11-year-old’s upcoming school and sports costs. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the costs for the next 2 months when disability stops paying because of their return to work, and paychecks won’t come in fast enough to stay afloat. Any donation is helpful and sharing is beyond appreciated.
For a little more backstory, meet Sean, Sarah, and Caleb, our family of 3. Sean works as a Corrections Officer and recently had to undergo Achilles tendon repair surgery for his ruptured Achilles. This had him out of work 3 weeks prior to surgery due to the nature of his job, and has been out since his surgery at the end of May. Sarah has been holding down as much of the fort as she can, between her income, his disability and their savings, but they have stretched everything they have as far as it can go.
With Sean returning to work in August, disability has ended and he won’t see a paycheck until 4 weeks after his return. While disability has helped throughout this process, it is only a fraction of their normal income. Both medical premiums and copays are being paid for out of pocket to keep the family insured and Sean healthily recovering. The money raised will help them pay rent, utilities, back to school costs for Caleb who is entering the 6th grade, medical premiums and copays until their income returns to normal in September/October.
There is no amount too small to help out this hardworking family and every penny is appreciated.
Thank you!
