Hi, my name is Cole, and I am raising money for my mother who has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.

Sandra has recently been diagnosed with a PCOM (posterior communicating artery) aneurysm, which is a bulge in one of the arteries at the base of her brain. It is a large (11 millimeter) aneurysm and is putting pressure on one of her visual nerves. To prevent rupture and further serious complications, her neurologist has unequivocally recommended an open brain surgery (or "clipping") to repair it.

This type of surgery is intensive and requires significant recovery time. After her procedure, Sandra will likely spend several days in the hospital, followed by a recovery period at home that may last several weeks to a few months. During this time, she will need plenty of rest and will not be able to cook or manage many daily tasks on her own. As you may know, she also is the caregiver for her husband, Bruce, who is a diabetic heart patient that unfortunately has lost much of his walking mobility. Unfortunately he was admitted to the hospital a couple of days prior to Sandra's surgery (Both are improving)
