On April 14 at 34 weeks and 2 days pregnant I had gone in for a regular high risk appointment that I had been having twice a week for a month due to low amniotic fluid. Going in we thought this would be a typical run of the mill appointment. They did an ultrasound and it ended pretty quickly after measuring baby boy. Shortly after my doctor had come in and told us that baby boy had stopped growing and that I would have to go in for an emergency c section that day. The c section went as well as it could have gone, and sweet boy Roman was born April 14 at 5:50 pm! Unfortunately due to him being a month and a half early he was immediately rushed to the NICU, to be put on a cpap machine, feeding tube, warmers, and blue light (due to him being jaundice). We are now going on week 3 of his NICU stay, he thankfully is off of everything and is now on the more stable side of the NICU. Only thing keeping him here is working on taking 75% of his total volume feed for 48 hours, we are slowly but surely making our way to that goal. With all of this going on and wanting to be here for our son as much as possible, my fiance has not been working so we don’t have a steady income currently. We are just asking for a little bit of help so we can pay off the medical bills from the OB/MFM appointments and hospital bills. Along with paying off any bills that have popped up during all of this. Whatever you are able to donate helps, even if it’s just positive thinking and prayers for our family. We appreciate everything!
