Even though I am making the most money I’ve ever made in my life, I am falling behind in paying bills and being able to support my family. My partner lost their job, and it has become increasingly difficult because of rising costs to pay rent, bills (medical and regular), keep us fed, and feed our cat. (Our cat needs monthly blood work and appointments to monitor blood sugar and weight.) Due to this, I’ve also fallen behind in student loan payments. The government has begun reporting to credit agencies, which has tanked my credit and makes more traditional loan routes unavailable to me. My car needs a new battery and if that goes, getting to work will be hard. Our bank account is overdrawn and it’s barely halfway through January. Everything is rough right now for everyone. Thank you.
