Hello, I'm never one to ask for help; however, I sustained a traumatic surgical event after a routine gallbladder surgery. In one percent of these surgical procedures, serious injury to the bile duct or hepatic artery can occur. I sustained both. I required a 10-hour reconstruction of my internal anatomy. I've been out of work since 11/11/24. I'm unable to do my normal job responsibilities at this time. I do not qualify for unemployment at this time. I live alone and have two lovely dogs. Prognosis of this type of injury can be fatal. I'm doing my best to be positive. Medical treatment for this has climbed to over $400k. Insurance has been paying, but there is a significant amount pending.
