As most of you know, Jeff's daughter and his grandson were in a really bad car accident on Feb 13th. Both of them are now at our home recovering from their injuries. The baby sustained only minor bruising; however, Rayven sustained the worst of the injuries. Her injuries included 11 broken ribs, a broken sternum, a large laceration to her arm, a bruised liver, and a large laceration to her head.

This year has been a very difficult year, to say the least. In Jan 2025, my dad was forced to retire due to health issues. Then, I lost my job in August, which caused some strain on our finances. After losing my job, I decided to become my dad's caretaker; however, the waiver program we're a part of has a waitlist.

On top of everything, Jeff has not been able to work as much due to an existing injury to his leg and ankle. (He fell off a roof in 2022, and the ankle never fully healed correctly.) Jeff will need to have ankle replacement surgery, carpal tunnel surgery, and possibly back surgery in the future.

We aren't the type of people to ask for help, and we go above and beyond for those we love. But we're putting our pride away to ask for help.

Because of the lack of and inability to work for days at a time, we are in the process of foreclosure of our home, repossession of our vehicle, a very large power bill due to a heating unit issue, and now our hot water tank is failing.

With the additional doctor's appointments back and forth to Charleston and Huntington, we are crippling under financial strain. We ask for help. Please! We are usually on top of everything, but medical issues, job loss, and repairs have become more than our income can handle at the moment.
