Aid for Post-Weight Loss Skin Surgery

I had gastric bypass in July 2021 and lost 120 lbs. I feel so much better and healthier. I was able to get rid of Diabetes and am off all prescriptions.

However, as we all know, the loose skin causes some issues. I’m still better off but ideally would love work done on my breasts and stomach. Weight loss, babies, and numerous abdominal surgeries have taken their toll on this “ole” mom. For me, it’s not cosmetic in the sense of looking better, but being better proportioned in my new size and body. I can live with the jiggles and bat wings, but the rashes, excess skin that gets pinched or having blisters if it gets caught in undergarments, and having to size up to fit my sagging stomach is such a pain and messes with my head. It's the final step in my journey of becoming healthy and feeling better in my body. Anyone who has been here knows this struggle!

My insurance does not cover any plastic or cosmetic surgery. I had to appeal and spent over 6 months to get them to approve my bariatric surgery but I know that will not be possible with this type of procedure.
