Hello, my name is Autumn and I’m 20 and unfortunately unemployed at this time. My cat Pose is a 7 1/2 year old, almost 8 year old cat. He started about a month and a half ago experiencing seizures that progressed very quickly and more intensely as the month went along. We took him to the vet and they initially gave us ear wash for his ears, hoping that was the cause of the seizures. Unfortunately, it was not, and he kept having said seizures, even after cleaning his ears. We took him back to the vet as the seizures started getting more frequent, and they told us he had an inflamed spleen and/or still does. He also was and/or still is constipated, so they gave us gabapentin and laxative medication, hoping the gabapentin, which is a neurological medicine, would work for his seizures. Unfortunately, it only worked for a day until around 12 AM to 1:30AM Sunday. He had back to back seizures, which had me take him to the ER. He is now on lifelong anti-seizure medication and needs to take it three times a day, every eight hours, to keep the seizures under control and keep him seizure free. I am raising money to help pay for my cat's ER bill hopefully get him to see a neurologist and to pay for his medication in the future.
