Hi, we’re Sonny and Christian, and we’re raising money for our beloved 2-year-old black cat Pistachio (Stash), who is currently hospitalized at the Emergency Vet due to severe pancreatitis.

After three days of extreme vomiting, refusing to eat or drink anything, rapidly losing weight, and numerous visits to the vet and clinic, we had no choice but to take Stash to the ER. The doctor informed us that he was failing outpatient treatment and needed to be hospitalized for 48-72 hours, or it was likely that he would not survive.

To treat his advanced pancreatitis, Pistachio needs aggressive supportive care. Pancreatitis is an extremely painful and serious condition where the pancreas has become severely inflamed. In more developed cases of pancreatitis, such as Stash’s, parts of the pancreas are at risk of dying off, which leads to sepsis.

His treatment includes X-rays, ultrasounds, a nasogastric tube for nutrients, plasma, and constant IV fluids and pain meds to help him survive and heal. The vet explained that if we can provide all this aggressive and continuous care while he is hospitalized, then he has a good chance of making it.

We're so glad that Pistachio is being given the intensive medical care that he needs. Unfortunately, this care comes at a high cost. Pistachio’s total medical bills are estimated to cost $8,700 for his inpatient treatments. This comes on top of a $2,000 bill last month for a different, urgent health issue involving Pistachio’s brother, Louis.

Stash and Louis are best friends, and Louis is anxiously waiting at home for his brother’s return. Sonny adopted them both when they were one year old, and they have grown up together and love to cuddle, play, and groom each other. Lou has not been himself without Stash to play with, as they are typically a very rowdy pair and love to chase each other around, play with toy balls, and take walks to visit their favorite neighbor, Glenis. We want to bring Stash home so Louis can have his best friend back.

We're set up on a payment plan to lighten the blow, but without any additional support, we're going to have a hard time covering these unexpected costs. That's why we're turning to you for support.

If you have anything to spare, please consider helping us out. Any amount, no matter how small, would be incredibly helpful. Even if you can't donate, simply sharing this page and spreading the word helps just as much as a financial contribution!

All the money will go directly to covering Pistachio’s veterinary bill and any additional treatment the vet recommends throughout his hospitalization.

We're so grateful for your consideration, support, and generosity. Pistachio, Louis, Sonny, and I all thank you for your kindness!
