I am sending this out to all my family and friends, the struggle became real when my partner of almost 30 years was diagnosed with a progressive form of ALS almost a year ago. We fought to maintain a positive attitude but this is becoming harder with time. Philip was forced to stop working after only six months from the time of being diagnosed. Two months ago we were advised of a new medication that is in its trial faze but has shown incredible results and Philip was given a 1 month supply and he was doing great, but when he went to renew the medication he was told it was not covered by his medical because it is a trial drug at this point. The medication cost $250 a month. It is extremely difficult to sit back knowing this medication that helps him greatly is available but the cost of off market drugs is substantial.  So I am reaching out to my friends and family looking for any help they can give with this matter so Philip can stay on this new wonder drug which helps slow and maintain the progression of this horrible disease. Any assistance you can give would be so appreciated and helpful in getting Philip back up and about and hopefully with a cure so close to help him to be here to celebrate that day.
