Aid for Pena Family's Medical Expenses

My name is Amanda Pena, with the help of my brother Michael and sister Kathy. We are starting this GoFundMe to help my mom with the bills coming in from the hospital visits for our dad.

Our dad, Phil Pena, started with losing weight rapidly. He saw a doctor on June 10 at the Owatonna Clinic, who then referred him to Rochester Mayo. On June 12, he had a biopsy on the enlarged lymph nodes. On June 19, we learned it was stage 4 lymphoma. On June 24, he was admitted to Rochester Mayo. On June 26, he received chemo. Things were going okay, and we were hopeful. On June 30, he came home. We were so excited and even more hopeful. The evening of July 1, Phil fell asleep on the couch but was unable to be woken up. Our mom called 911, and we performed CPR until the paramedics came. He was taken to the emergency room where we found out there was a catastrophic brain bleed. He was flown to Rochester with hope that the surgeons would be able to help him. When we got to Rochester, we were told that they were unable to do anything with the bleed. The next steps were to make him comfortable and wait for him to go. He was surrounded by love and family while he slipped away.

We are fundraising to help cover the medical bills and expenses from the hospital visits for our dad.
