Title: Help Pabu & Asami Recover After Traumatic Injury
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for two very special little souls—Pabu and Asami, our beloved 4-year-old ferrets.
My son is currently away at college, and he trusted me to care for them while he’s gone. Unexpectedly, I had a family emergency and had to travel, so I arranged for a family friend to watch them—something that had gone smoothly in the past. Unfortunately, this time, a tragic situation occurred involving the caregiver’s child, and Pabu and Asami were severely traumatized.
They are now receiving emergency care at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island on Sunrise Highway. Seeing them in pain has been absolutely heartbreaking. They are gentle, loving companions who mean the world to my son, and right now they need urgent medical treatment, monitoring, and support to recover.
I’ve cut my trip short to be by their side, and we are doing everything we can to make them feel safe and comforted. We are holding onto hope and praying for their healing and full recovery.
The cost of emergency veterinary care is overwhelming, especially with my son being a college student. Any donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward their medical expenses, treatment, and recovery care.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than we can express during this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping Pabu and Asami get the care they need.
With gratitude and hope,
A loving mom
