Aid for Ongoing Kidney Disease Treatment
In January 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. My GFR (Kidney Filtration Rate) is 23 and my creatinine is 3.3.(Normal is <1) Despite my doctor’s advice to go on disability, I chose to keep working as long as I was able. Unfortunately, over the past nine months, my health has declined significantly.
I now struggle to stand for long periods and often have difficulty moving at all. For the past two months, I’ve been battling recurring renal anasarca, which has caused extreme fluid retention—sometimes up to 100 pounds above my normal weight. This has led to additional complications, including pneumonia.
Since July, I have endured three extended hospital stays, forcing me to miss substantial time from work. As my condition progresses, it’s clear I will need more frequent hospital visits and, ultimately, disability support.
I’m creating this page to humbly ask for help from friends, family, and anyone willing to support me during this difficult season. Donations will go toward catching up on bills, covering basic living expenses, and helping me manage the financial strain of ongoing hospital care while I transition to disability.
I am also in need of new transportation as my car is not able to make the trip to see my specialists in Santa Fe/Albuquerque.
Any contribution—big or small—means so much to me. Even if you can’t give financially, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing of this fundraiser are deeply appreciated and are the most important as I am still of the belief that I can be fully healed.
Thank you for standing with me through this journey.
