Aid for Oliver's Fight in the NICU

I'm Christy Spears, mom to Kaya Spears. Kaya was expecting her little boy Oliver to be here on March 2, 2025. On November 23, she went to the ER for massive bleeding. They did some bloodwork and tests and discovered she had severe pre-eclampsia and would have to deliver Oliver via emergency C-section at only 26 weeks gestation. He was born on November 24, 2024, weighing 1 lb 8 oz and was 12 3/4 inches long. He stayed in the NICU for a few days, and then they decided he needed to be transferred to a different NICU that was better equipped to handle micro preemies. He was life-flighted to Louisville and has a long, hard road ahead of him. Thankfully, Kaya and Colt were able to get a room at the Ronald McDonald House.

Yesterday, they discovered that Oliver has 2 brain bleeds. One is a grade 2, and the other is a grade 3. Grade 3 brain bleeds are considered very serious. Considering the circumstances, he's doing pretty well. Colt lost his job shortly before this happened, and Kaya has been unable to work since the beginning of her pregnancy due to issues she was having from the pregnancy. I'm trying to raise money for them to help them get through this terribly difficult time. They still have bills to pay and will need money for food and gas as well. Every penny donated will go straight to them to help them with whatever expenses they have while navigating the NICU life for several months. Please consider donating to them; the last thing they should have to worry about right now is finances. They need to focus all their time and attention on their very sick baby right now, and I know it would be a huge blessing to them to know that their finances are taken care of while they focus on baby Oliver.
