Aid for Natalie's Healing and Recovery
Donation protected
On Wednesday, April 9th, Natalie suffered a major stroke to the left hemisphere of her brain, just five days after her second knee surgery and only eleven days before her 34th birthday.
Natalie was home alone. She was unable to unlock her phone, as she had already forgotten her passcode and was suffering numbness and the inability to use her right arm and hand.
Natalie was aware that something was very wrong and she needed help. She exited their residence and walked to the driveway in an effort to see if their good friends and neighbors were home; they were not. She returned to the front door. She stood there for a little bit before she was able to finally ring the bell. Luckily, Logan decided to check the camera and was able to see she needed immediate help.
Logan called 911 as well as the neighbor who works close to their house.
Natalie underwent a procedure to remove the clot and remains hospitalized as of today. She has endured many, many tests to try to determine the cause of the stroke, as she is young and healthy.
She will need a great deal of therapy to regain her strength, speech, reading, memory, and writing. There is no way to determine how long this will take.
I am asking that you keep Natalie, her children, and her husband (my son) in your prayers. Natalie will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time as she recovers.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated as they navigate this uncharted chapter in their life. Updates will be posted as they are available.
