I don’t ask for help easily. In fact, this is uncomfortable for me. But I’ve reached a point where I truly need support.
Many of you know that in 2016 I nearly lost my life following heart surgery and multiple pulmonary embolisms. It took years to physically recover, and I still live with ongoing health complications.
Despite that, I made a decision to rebuild my life. I returned to school and have since completed six associate degrees. I am now working toward my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminology, and I plan to continue on to graduate school.
Recently, I was hospitalized for a severe infection that progressed to sepsis. Thankfully, I received treatment in time and am recovering, but it has set me back physically and financially.
At the same time, I completed approximately 100 hours of work in exchange for temporary housing between apartments. When I set reasonable boundaries about workload, I was told I could no longer stay — resulting in roughly $2,500 worth of unpaid labor and leaving me without stable housing.
Currently, I am living in my camper in my truck while working to secure safe housing. Unfortunately, my truck’s transmission is failing, and I’m also facing repairs to the AC compressor. The total estimated repair cost is approximately $4,100 — an amount that is simply beyond my means right now.
My vehicle is not a luxury. It is my shelter, transportation, and lifeline while I continue my education and manage my health.
If you are able to contribute, any amount would make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also help more than you know.
I am doing everything I can to move forward despite significant health and financial obstacles. I remain committed to finishing school and building a stable future.
Thank you for reading and for any support you’re willing to give.
