As many of my friends, family, and church family know, my oldest son was diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago. He is no longer able to work because of this. He lives alone in upstate NY and doesn't have anyone there that can help him.

He has applied for social security disability and was approved. However, he was told that he has to be disabled for at least 5 months before he receives his first check. He also does not have any health insurance as he worked for himself most of his life. His medical bills and monthly expenses are adding up with no way to pay for them. I've been trying to help as much as I can. It's hard to do long distance.

I am hoping that this will provide at least some help with his monthly and some of his medical expenses until he gets his first check. I believe that he will also be approved at that time for Medicaid. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I greatly appreciate any amount that you can donate for him.
