Richard passed away today 5/23/25

Richard was put in comfort care today

Update: this morning the cardiologist from st joes called. They are moving Richard back into ICU. His heart rate is up and he’s having trouble breathing. My daughter and his family are enroute to the hospital

Update: he has brain injury from the strokes and is being moved to a rehabilitation center for brain injury.

his surgery was March 12. They are now talking rehab and possibly long term care. Rehab will be in either NYC area or Schenectady. He is still not waking up fully.

This is to help my daughter and her family at this time. her husband is currently in the hospital.

He had a quadruple bypass, the tricuspid valve repaired and his mitral valve replaced. His lungs weren’t working the way they wanted them too so he’s on the ECMO. They also think he may have suffered a stroke but they’re waiting to see what things he is going to do before they do more neurological testing.

they have 5 kids and her income is the only income at this time. She cannot afford to take time off work to travel to be with him.
