My name is Kimberly. I have a very good friend who is a single parent with one child who is full-time in college, and the other who needs transportation from the parent.

My friend lost her place to live when the landlord decided to sell. Despite her credit woes, she found an apartment (double the rent price).

My friend lost their job and found another job just six weeks later. Due to the six weeks and the check-to-check lifestyle my friend has been living, they are now facing the trauma of repossessing their vehicle. The total payoff to own the vehicle (a much older vehicle) was $2000, and my friend was almost there. After the job loss, they took my friend's car 3 nights ago, and my friend has a new job and no vehicle. The car will be released if my friend pays $1000.

If everyone I know can donate one or two dollars, we can help someone in need. Those who know me probably ask why you don't just give your friend the money. I, too, am facing financial challenges, but I always want to do anything I can to try and help someone in TRUE need. Especially when I know this person is in this horrible situation and they really have tried but just cannot come up for air and are close to drowning. Thanks, and God Bless
