Aid for Mike's Medical and Family Needs
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Megan. Deanna and I have been best friends since elementary school, and she notified me Saturday, 2 days before her birthday, that her amazing, hardworking, loving husband and father of their 2 girls and 2 fur kids, Mike, had suffered a ruptured aneurysm in his brain. He was rushed to Boston hospital where he underwent his first surgery. He came out of that, and the doctors were happy with the outcome. Shortly after, he suffered a stroke that led him to have another emergency surgery. Deanna was sure she was going to lose him at points, but thankfully, he came out and is in recovery. Fortunately, he has his memory intact, but he has loss of motor function on his right side. Given the extent of the surgeries, the recovery time is going to be significant. The doctors have advised he will be in ICU for at LEAST 2 MONTHS then will be transferred to a rehab facility for MONTHS of rehabilitation.
With their 2 daughters being 15 and 2, the oldest needing to get back and forth to school and work, and being down to a single vehicle, while Deanna travels back and forth being with Mike for appointments and recovery, as well as needing help for care with the youngest, this family is going to need all the help and support they can get during this difficult time. As we all know, bills don't stop during an emergency, and Mike was a major breadwinner in the home. With him being out of work indefinitely and Deanna having to miss a lot of time in the upcoming future, they will need any and all financial and physical help possible to help them overcome this extremely unfortunate circumstance.
Any and all forms of support are welcome, from homemade meals, to help getting the kids to and from places or even help watching them (if you're known and trusted of course), to helping with their 2 dogs, gas for traveling, helping repair their other vehicle, etc. is all extremely appreciated! Even giving any amount of time for a break for Deanna to help make sure she takes care of herself as well during this time. No amount is too small either. Please consider donating anything you possibly can to help them make this process a little easier for them. I'll be the main point of contact for any questions or concerns or helping coordinate needs. Deanna and Mike are BOTH hardworking people who do so much for people, and they take much pride in themselves and never ask for help, but this time, they need it. Though they don't want it, they need it. I know they've touched many throughout their lives, now is the time to show them just how much they've impacted the community. Prayers, of course, are also very much welcome!
I'll be the main point of contact for any questions or concerns or helping coordinate needs. I'm in FL while they're in NH, so please bear with me on the communication between her and me to get everything together. I will also be providing updates as we learn more throughout this difficult journey and their new way of life for a while. We're hopeful that Mike will make a full recovery; time will tell. Thank you all for reading through this; even that is appreciated, as well as any and all shares of this page.
