Aid for Michael's Critical Recovery

Hi, my name is Ashlee, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my brother, Michael, who is currently in the ICU after a devastating motorcycle accident yesterday evening. He is in critical condition--and the timing couldn't be more heartbreaking. Michael is not only fighting for his life---he's also preparing to become a father for the first time. His wife, Marlena, is 7 months pregnant, with their first child. This should be a time of love, excitement, and hope has suddenly become one of fear and uncertainty in one of the most painful chapters of their lives.

On June 29th, around 8:30pm Michael was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him with multiple face fractures, head trauma, a hematoma, swelling of his face, ruptured eardrum and much more. He was rushed to the ICU, where he remains in critical but stable condition. Michael remains under constat care and monitoring, and he has a long road ahead, including surgeries, possible rehabilitation and weeks--if not months of recovery. He is fighting for his life and doing so while his wife prepares to bring their child into the world. To make matters even more tragic, Marlena, my sister-in-law has lost both of her parents over the last year, and my brother is her last and only support system. Now she's facing pregnancy, grief and the terrifying uncertainty of her husband's condition all at once.

Our family is doing everything we can to help support him, but the financial strain is immense. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming between rising medical expenses, time off of work, and preparations for a newborn our family, his family, simply cannot do this alone.
