My name is Patty Bassett. I am raising money for my sister Mary McLaughlin and her hubby Rex. Mary recently had 2 surgeries at Arnot Ogden Hosp. within hours because her bowels perforated from Diverticulitis. She ended up with a Colostomy bag. This was on Nov. 8th She didn't wake up from the surgery as expected, drifting in and out of consciousness for over 2 weeks and is still in the hospital now but at St. Joe's learning to walk again. Before this she had to learn to swallow again. As of right now she can sit herself up in bed. Mary still can't walk by herself. As this is happening, her hubby Rex has been getting Chemo for a serious cancer he is battling. Their funds are quickly running out and Mary has no idea how long she will remain at St. Joe's for PT/OT rehab. ANYTHING you could donate would be extremely appreciated. Thank you in advance. -- Patty
