Aid for Marie, Zach, and Baby Elena's NICU Stay

Many of you know my niece, Marie, and her husband, Zach, were expecting their first child on April 8, 2025. On December 6th, Marie traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to attend a college friend's baby shower. On this trip, Marie started experiencing signs of labor and was rushed to the hospital. Medical interventions were conducted to try to stop and slow the labor, but ultimately their baby girl, Elena, was born on December 11th at 23 weeks gestation, weighing only 1 pound 2 ounces.

While Marie was hospitalized, medical professionals would not allow her to return to the Twin City area for medical treatment due to the severity of her condition. Now Elena needs to remain in the NICU in Milwaukee until she's discharged which is estimated to be around April 8th or after.

We would like to help out this young family by fundraising to help them cover the cost of additional expenses for living in Milwaukee so they can be near their daughter until she is sent home in the spring. Donations will be used for housing rental, food, hospital parking, and gas (for commuting to and from their permanent residence), while maintaining their current home in Hammond, WI.
