Hit-and-Run, Epilepsy & Brain Surgery: Need Your Help

Hi everyone, my name is Cecy Hernandez-Bravo, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my husband, Mannix Hernandez-Bravo, and our family. We’re a family of seven, five amazing kids, and the two of us … and right now we’re facing one of the hardest seasons we’ve ever had to walk through.

On July 3, 2025, Mannix was involved in a serious accident in San Antonio, Texas while driving his 2000 Peterbilt 379. He had just finished delivering a load and was on his way back home to Florida when an F-250 pulling a work trailer slammed into his truck and then fled the scene. No accountability. No responsibility. Just gone. Mannix suffered injuries to his head and back and was rushed to the hospital as a trauma patient. I was in the truck with him, and a toolbox flew during the impact and hit me in the face. I’m bruised up pretty bad, but thank God my nose wasn’t broken. We’re both shaken, hurting, and overwhelmed, but we’re alive.

Unfortunately, the accident totaled the truck and trailer. Theheart of our business and our only source of income. And while we’ve filed the insurance claim and are waiting for things to process, life doesn’t pause. Bills keep coming. Responsibilities keep stacking. And the financial pressure has been heavy on our family.

To make things even more emotional, our youngest daughter Maya is supposed to leave for college this August to continue her education, something she’s worked incredibly hard for and that we’ve done everything in our power to support. The timing of this accident has hit all of us at once; financially, emotionally, and logistically as we try to figure out how to get her moved in while picking up the pieces from this wreck.

Since 2014, Mannix has been out there on the road, doing what he loves. And in 2020, when the world was shut down, he didn’t stop. He kept trucking, helping deliver supplies to communities when shelves were empty and people were scared. He’s always taken pride in being part of the essential workforce that keeps America moving forward.

If you know Mannix, you know his heart. He’s the type of person who will talk to anyone, help anyone, and make you feel like family even if you just met him. He’s never asked for help because he’s always the one giving it. But today, we’re the ones in need and I’m here to ask, humbly and with love, for a little help during this time.

Whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer …anything you offer is deeply appreciated. Thank you for loving my husband, for supporting our family, and for helping carry us through this storm. We’re grateful beyond words and trusting in the blessings that always come through the people God places in our lives.

With all our love,
Cecy & the Hernandez-Bravo Family
