Aid for Lyrik's Heart surgery recovery And Angela's recovery
Donation protected
Thank you all so much for your continued love and support. Lyrik is doing well, and will be able to return to school in mid February (about 3 weeks from now) as long as he continues to follow his restrictions. Next post op follow up will be in four weeks.
Angela had her surgery Wednesday, January 15th. She was kept overnight due to the complications she’s had in the past . She was discharged on Thursday and other than expected pain, she seemed okay.
On Saturday Angela began having fainting spells, trouble breathing, and excessive bleeding along with vomiting. With her history of blood clots, she went to the ER as directed by the on call doctor to rule out a pulmonary embolism .
Thankfully that was ruled out , however her results for her liver functioning were highly abnormal and was left without answers for now . Her body continues to fight and struggle to heal without continued complications. Angela is continuing to be monitored closely by her primary care, her surgeon and other specialist to try to determine what appears to be an attack on her liver.
Her bills are rolling in and the financial contributions have been a blessing in helping her keep her head above water . she is STILL working with the financial group to have her short term disability cleared to begin to receive a percentage of her regular income during the down time so she and Lyrik can both have a full recovery..
Unfortunately nothing has happened yet and she’s struggling to reach someone who will give her the insight on when to she can expect the payments.. With bills automatically taking out , the month is already coming close to an end and she is very concerned she will not be able to make critical payments on time (rent, electric, car) please continue to share and also pray that things take a turn in a more positive direction with both Angela’s health and financial stresses.
Gofundme does take a percentage of the donations so if you are wanting to donate an amount without the fees, you can also send via cashapp @angelacoles428

Thank you again for your love and support.

The Coles family could really use our support during a challenging time.
Angela is the widow of my son Billy and Lyrik is Billy's son. Billy was murdered in November 2021, the three people responsible or awaiting the murder trials in federal prison.
She isn't one to ask for help, but these surgeries have put a financial strain on her and with her being out of wook ,she's trying to keep a roof over their head alongside transition to the hospital and Dr appointments.as well as school for the 2 girls.
Lyrik had surgery on January 2nd to address pectus excavatum, a condition where his breastbone is sunken into his chest. The procedure involves placing rods to correct the sunken area and relieve pressure on his heart and lungs, with a recovery period of 4-6 months. Your Prayers are working !
Cryoblasion is setting in.. All clear with PT and OT and a ton of restrictions . I literally could not ask for a better experience with VCU Surgical team and Lyrik’s recovery ! so thankful !
So pretty much before surgery, his heart was shoved all the way to the opposite side of his chest compressing it like a pancake. His lung was compressed causing difficulty breathing.
Then, on January 15th, Angela will undergo a necessary hysterectomy. With two additional sisters in the home, this will be an especially tough season for the family.
Help with transportation and medical expenses, medication and necessary home healthcare is needed along with recovery for the best outcome.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot contribute, can you please share.
Gift cards or contributions toward groceries or takeout are also appreciated. Angela’s Venmo is @Angela-Coles-7 for those who’d like to contribute.
Thank you for coming alongside this family in their time of need!
