My best friend, Loaf, was admitted to the emergency vet tonight. She is stable but experiencing serious symptoms beyond that of a standard UTI.

The estimated costs are over $6,000, half of which I had to put on a friend's card upfront. I am fundraising for half of the total costs—$3,200.

While searching for a job last year and moving homes, I lost all of my savings. I am now securely and wonderfully employed but living paycheck to paycheck. And while I do have insurance for her through my job, I am just finding out that it does not cover emergency medical care.

My cats are one of the key pillars that bring love and joy into my life. I appreciate any assistance possible at this time, but am not looking for advice on her health or care.
