Aid for Lisa and Robin's Evacuation and Recovery LA Fires
Donation protected
My daughter Robin and I were evacuated Wednesday, 1/8/25, from the Sunset Fire in Los Angeles. We had rescue dogs with us from friends who had lost their homes in the days before, as well as our very fragile senior dogs. We had very little time and piled everyone in the car, along with passports and photos. We started driving toward the desert. We ended up getting multiple Airbnbs to house the dogs, and we have not been able to return. Since we evacuated, squatters came into our house and destroyed our beds and living spaces. We are getting all this fixed and cleaned today and tomorrow and outfitting the house with air filters and water filters for us and our fragile dogs. We hope to return Friday now. While we do fortunately still have a home to return to, this has caused us so much trauma and expenses, including dog sitters here in the desert and rental cars.
We have spent close to $7,000 already and expect to spend another few thousand to fix everything, including new beds and furniture.
Anything you can send to help us would be greatly appreciated.
