Aid for Lily's 8 Little Miracles
Donation protected
Hello Internet People, my names Chris and I've never set up one of these, but I need help to care for a recent bundle of miracles that came into my life 18 days ago.
Little backstory, a few months ago I took in a beautiful girl cat that a redditor was having to give up. I named her Lily, Lilith, because of her white fur and little attitude. When I received her I was told she was spayed but quickly realized this not to be true when she soon went into heat. Through a stroke of sheer bad luck, I broke out in poison ivy from clearing out behind my house and didn't take her in to the vet. Lo and behold, she ventured out and came back much calmer and pregnant. I exaggerate not when I say her belly was twice her size.
Fast forward 6-7 weeks and I'm awoken on April 12th with the tiniest crying. Now I've never had a cat give birth or assisted in any animal births so I stayed by her side and helped how I could but I was not ready for how many kittens there were, but after an hour or so there were 7 kittens and they were nursing and she was fine so I popped off to work for a couple hours and decided I'd name them after the 7 deadly sins being Liliths children and all. When I dropped by a couple hours later I found an 8th kitten. 8 perfect, stinky babies. I fell in love instantly.
Ive raised cats over the years, but never newborns. I've been contacting a vet friend and a fostering friend frequently and am doing everything to make Lily comfortable and has all the food she wants so she can care for them as well as she can, and they've been growing up healthy and happy, but this morning the inevitable happened and had to run them to the local vet to get little Pride's eye looked at and opened. They worked with me on the bill, but I realize I simply won't have enough to keep up with checkups, vaccinations, spay/neuters, food, litter and toys. I don't plan to keep all the kittens which is why I gave them ridiculous names, but i will give them as much care as I can while they're here.
I don't know the best way to ask, but I could use any monetary help or kitten essentials for them all. I am more than happy to stay in contact if donors want updates and if possible, upload more photos as they get bigger. Thank you to everyone who read this and double thanks to anyone who can help.
