I didn’t think we would end up here making this, but here we are. Due to Ley's medical needs, we are now needing to start a GoFundMe. Ley is currently fighting the flu, pneumonia, and bronchiolitis. She has collapsed pockets in her lungs, she's on oxygen, and she's on albuterol for breathing treatments, which she receives every 4 hours. She is on a machine every 2 hours that shakes her body to break up the collapsing pockets in her lungs. We have no anticipation of discharge. We have 4 other kids at home that my mom is watching while we sit at Ley's bedside in Chicago. Again, we are parents torn in two. Again, we are here supporting, advocating, and trying to get her better. We need your help. We’re needing assistance with rent, ComEd, Nicor, whatever you can give to help keep our kids off the streets. I just lost my job again due to Ley's medical needs. Our family is suffering in every way possible. We’re trying our best here with the hand given to us. All we have left is our faith and each other. Her abnormalities that cause her to end up so sick are as listed below, enlarged brain ventricles, bi lateral cleft lip and palate, nose deformity, chromosome deletion (she’s missing half her dad’s chromosomes) , scoliosis, and has a gtube for feeds due to the history of aspiration.
