Aid for Lena, Hussein, and Baby Qasim

My name is Ariel Collins and I started this campaign for Lena Mounir Subhi Abu Jalhoum, her husband Hussein Riyad Hassan Abu Jalhoum and their 7 month son Qasim. I met them through the Abu Jarir family who are dear friends of mine in Gaza. Please read Lena’s story below.

Hello, my name is Lena and I am 18 years old. I am from the north of Gaza, in Jabalia, but our home was destroyed in the war and we were displaced to the southern Gaza Strip where we have been living for almost 16 months. My child, Qasim, just 7 months old was born during the war. We have endured very difficult circumstances. We have no income and we are new parents trying desperately to care for our child and give him a beautiful life like all parents of the world. We are in constant need of diapers, formula, food, clean water and warm winter clothing for both ourselves and Qasim. We cook on a fire and it is very unhealthy. The winter weather has brought in difficulties with keeping our tent and our belongs dry and from keeping ourselves warm.
