My name is Nancy Evon, and I, along with my sister Anne, am starting this GoFundMe in the hope of raising money for my daughter Lauren Ashley. Lauren has been suffering from a severe neurological illness for the last 17 yrs. leaving the two of us to fight a very scary battle. I so desperately want to help Lauren reclaim her life.

Over the years there has been some success, some improvements, thanks to Chelation Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments.. At this time her biggest struggle is Basal Ganglia Encephalitis--extreme brain inflammation. This comes with a hefty load of symptoms the worst of which include being in a constant state of fight or flight with an internal racing that feels like electrocution. Lauren's brain feels on fire, and she is plagued by OCD. She has episodes of dystonia where her internal body seizes up like concrete causing a restriction of blood to the brain. Also, numbness, spasms and intense head and neck pain. These episodes are so physically traumatic that afterward her brain never feels the same.

After many ER visits, hospital stays, neurology consults, medications, dietary changes, scans and tests it has been suggested she try high dose vitamin C in an IV drip, this helps fight off viruses and bacteria and bring down brain inflammation. We found a nurse who will come to our home to administer the IV as Lauren is too weak to travel. The bags are not cheap and cost around 400 each. An ideal schedule would be one IV per week.
