UPDATE:
(4/2/25 )
Thanks to your support, along with deep research and discussion, we are working tirelessly to save Lacuna’s life by fundraising to purchase a stock of her medication and give her more time.
Lacuna has Cushing’s disease, and it has already cost Kim and Sean thousands of dollars—money they didn’t have—just to get a proper diagnosis after a year of uncertainty. Now that she’s finally on the right medication, they are struggling to afford the ongoing treatment she needs to improve.
Unfortunately, without financial support, they will be left with no choice but to put her down, as they simply can’t keep up with the cost.
We are fundraising to purchase a year’s supply of her medication in bulk, which will help reduce costs while giving Lacuna more time to heal—and giving Kim and Sean more time with her before having to make such a heartbreaking decision.
The medication is already helping—Lacuna has started jumping on the bed again and is finally able to relax. With time, increasing her dosage could lead to even greater improvements. She just needs the chance to keep going.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you for your support in helping Lacuna continue her journey.

(3/31/25 ) Kim and Sean's beloved dog Lacuna has suffered from an unknown incurable illness for the past year causing her quality of life to decline. This unexpected medical anomaly has costed them thousands of dollars in vet bills and medication just to keep her comfortable enough with little answers on how to cure her illness. Kim and Sean have to make the tough decision to put their fur baby to rest as the stress on Lacuna and their bank accounts continues to increase.
As this mystery illness has completely changed Lacuna, for 8 years she has been Kim's companion after being rescued from a kill shelter. Lacuna has also been the best pal to many dogs that Kim has trained over the years. We will all miss her dearly.
Please consider donating any amount towards their pet loss fund to ease some of the burden during this tough time. Kim, Sean and Lacuna deeply appreciate your support.
