On March 7th, 2025, Kristina and her two young daughters (ages 6 and 10) experienced a devastating domestic violence incident that changed their lives forever. After fleeing her home to seek safety, the situation escalated, resulting in extensive damage to her home and belongings, and ending in tragedy.

Over the course of several days, the home was completely destroyed from the inside—walls, ceilings, appliances, furniture, clothing, and even personal keepsakes were ruined. In total, over $100,000 in damages were done. The final response from SWAT required tear gas and a full breach of the home, leaving the house unlivable and most of the remaining belongings contaminated and unsafe to use.

Kristina’s homeowner’s insurance has provided very limited support—covering only a small portion of the cleanup and temporary shelter through the end of that week. She is still responsible for the mortgage on a home that her family can’t live in and now has rent to pay as well while the home is unlivable. On top of it all, her only vehicle was also destroyed.

Despite all of this, Kristina has shown incredible strength as she tries to rebuild life for her and her daughters. She was hesitant to ask for help—but the reality is that no one can carry this kind of burden alone.
