Aid for Kofi's Recovery and Denae's Journey

Hi everyone! My name is Gianna Sennett, sister to Denae Rodriguez and aunt to Kofi.

As most people know from the last Gofundme, Kofi has been in and out of the hospital for the last few months with major neurological issues and monthly sicknesses.

Kofi has been having infantile spams for months which progressed to seizures last week. After having 3 seizures at daycare, and a trip to Loma Linda, we received no answers on what was going on with Kofi.

Denae knew something was wrong so she took him back to CHOC where they finally ran all the tests that we needed to find out whats going on. Unfortunately, tests showed a tumor in Kofi's front right temporal lobe.

We are crushed but Kofi is in the best place he could be, surrounded by an amazing team of doctors at CHOC. Today, Monday 4/7, Kofi underwent a craniotomy to remove the tumor. They will then biopsy the tumor to see if it is malignant or not.

This is the first step in a long journey for both Denae and Kofi and any all support is very much appreciated. Denae is a self employed hair stylist and this is going to be such a hard change for her, but she is an amazing mother to Kofi and will do whatever it takes to make sure he is taken care of.

The funds we raise will help supplement her income since she will not be returning to work for a good amount of time.

Kofi's recovery period is unknown, the extent of therapy is unknown and moving forward, we're taking it day by day. We are hopeful, we are praying and we are confident that he will overcome all the odds.
