So for those of you who do not know, my mom Kimberly walked out on her back porch and shot herself Sunday morning. She had had a heart attack back in October, and her health was not getting any better. We are all shocked and devastated right now and having a hard time processing the entire situation. My poor stepdad Mike lost his mother, Grandma Ruth, in October, and my mom had her heart attack the very next day. They had been together for 25 years, got sober together, everything. So to say this is hard on Mike doesn’t even begin to cover it. And if you know our family, then you know that my grandmother, my mom’s mom, also took her own life when I was 8 years old. So after a couple of days of being so mad at her, I have to believe she was in so much pain to make that decision, knowing how bad it would hurt all of us.

I'm sharing all of this because as most everyone knows, suicide voids most life insurance policies. We do not know for sure yet if it does with hers, but the chances are very high. Thankfully, one of my mom’s best friends has offered to cover most of the cost of cremation, but there are still lots of other things to worry about. So I’m asking if you can please, please help me, my sisters, my brother, and my stepdad with anything to cover the cost of helping put my mom to rest and having a celebration of life, please do. And if you can’t, please share. I don’t ask very many people for much. I’ve been out of prison for almost two years now, and I have busted my ass off to get where I am and to turn my life around, but I need help y’all. I have never been so lost in my life. She was only 55, so young… I just want my mommy back.
