I don’t like asking for help, but my Kadogi is very sick again and I must. He has a history of IBD. On Wednesday night, 3/11, Kadogi was throwing up blood, and I took him to SOVSC ER where they gave him an exam, fluids, and a shot of Cerenia for his nausea. They wanted to hospitalize him for more tests, but I opted to take him home and take him to his regular vet the next morning.
On Thursday, 3/12, he had labs, complete diagnostics, radiography, and an enema. He did not improve, and by Friday night, 3/13, he still had not been eating or drinking, and he was throwing up again. This morning, Saturday, 3/14, I took him to Rogue Valley Veterinary Emergency where he had a thorough exam, blood draw, ultrasound, fluids, and a shot of Cerenia, put on a special diet, and referral to a vet specialist closer to home. So now we have some answers and a plan on how to treat his chronic illness. Needless to say, after three emergencies, his bill is over $1,440 and continued Specialist care.
