Honoring Justin Kimodoi and Covering Funeral Cost
Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing our dear husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Justin James Kimodoi earlier this morning, Thursday, March 27th, 2025. Last week Friday, March 21, 2025, Justin was involved in a devastating car accident in Temple, Texas, and was admitted at nearby Baylor Hospital. For about a week, be bravely fought for his life but ultimately succumbed to death due to significant brain injuries and trauma to multiple organs.
Justin leaves behind his wife and partner, Zainabu Osman, and two children, son Justin Jr. and daughter Jasmine, who are experiencing immense emotional and financial strain during this difficult time.
As we prepare to send Justin to rest in his homeland of Tanzania, we urgently appeal for your financial support to help his grieving family cover the overwhelming costs of medical bills, repatriation, and funeral expenses.
Contributions can be made via:

Justin has been a resident of Dallas, TX for the past several years. Prior to that, he lived for many years in New York after emigrating from Tanzania. His contributions to his community through his volunteer work, and his general acts of kindness will be remembered by many. He was passionate about Tanzanian diaspora rights, and used his social media platform to educate through his viral videos about the plight of African immigrants in the United States.
His absence affects more than just his immediate family. We therefore appeal to all his friends from around the world, notably in Tanzania and in the United States, for their immediate assistance. Specifically, we ask the Tanzanian communities in Texas, and in New York’s Tri-State Area to strongly support the family in ensuring Justin is accorded a fitting celebration of his life and a beautiful burial ceremony.
All contributions will go directly to me (his wife Zainabu and family). Those contributions sent via Zelle and Cashapp will be manually added and aggregated on this GoFundMe page for easy tracking.
Any contribution matters—thank you so much for your generosity, friendship and care during this difficult time for us.
