Aid for Jocelyn and Michael's Recovery
Donation protected
**Update**
Michael has been discharged to start healing at Home, although he is not in the hospital he is in a lot of pain and has a long road ahead to recover physically and mentally from this accident. Jocelyn remains in the hospital. she has undergone surgery to repair her hip as well as her arm. The doctors are still deciding whether they are going to do surgery on her foot or if they believe it will heal correctly on its own at the moment they are having a lot of trouble controlling Jocelyn’s pain and no medication is helping her to get rest. I am praying that she starts healing because on top of her physical injuries. She is unable to see her five month old baby and that is not helping her mentally we truly thank everybody for their donations and ask that you can continue to share and pray for her in her time of need. We are not sure how long she will be there and she has a very long road ahead of her,**
On January 8th, early afternoon, my daughter Jocelyn Bermudez, her fiancée Michael Natrigo, and their five-month-old son Malakai were involved in a horrible car accident that totaled their vehicle.
Their son was blessed and unharmed with not even a scratch from this accident. Unfortunately, the parents have been in the hospital since then. Michael will be in the hospital for a few more days and will be healing from a broken leg and other injuries at home after discharge. Jocelyn was sitting behind him in the backseat with their son. She has several fractures and dislocations down the left side of her body. She’s had one procedure to temporarily relocate her elbow until surgery. Today, she was in surgery for 6 hours having her fractured hip repaired. She will need at least one more surgery we know of, with possibly more. She will remain at Strong Hospital for another week or two at this time.
Jocelyn had just started back to work a few weeks ago from maternity leave. They will now have no income and lost their vehicle along with everything in the car. They will need a new car seat for their son as well, as this one was in the accident and cannot be used. Family is helping take care of their baby, which they cannot see right now. This is breaking their hearts to not see their son while in the hospital as well.
Any money collected for them will be towards their monthly bills and what items they need for them or Malakai while she is out of work.
We as a family are doing all we can to help and looking for family and friends to help them get through this horrible period as they have bills, necessities, and baby items that are always needed.
I appreciate you reading and ask for continued prayers for our families.
