Aid for Jessica's Medical Journey
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jennifer Watson, and I am a long-time friend of Jessica Sturtz. All donations will go directly to helping Jessica pay for previous and upcoming medical needs.
Jessica was recently diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (PTC).
In 2020, Jessica was in a tragic car accident where she broke her ankle. They had suspicions of cancer during routine imaging after the car accident. The initial inconclusive imaging fell through the cracks, and she never had a follow-up appointment.
Due to Jessica not knowing, she had a routine medical exam in April 2024 with a new primary care physician. Her new PCP had recommended having her thyroid checked because she had been feeling tired, lethargic, and generally not well.
After reviewing her medical charts, Jessica only then learned about the overlooked status of the previous imaging.
After getting blood work, labs, and more imaging, they did a biopsy in July 2024, and she was officially diagnosed in August 2024.
Jessica then traveled to Seattle, WA to see a specialist due to the nature of her cancer. After consult and intake exams, they proceeded with surgery to remove her thyroid in November of 2024.
Jessica will have ongoing medical needs. She will need follow-up appointments, medications, and routine medical checks. As we all know, medical insurance in the United States only covers so much of this.
Jessica is the hardest working person I know. She is the mother to two wonderful children, Jaxson and Elli. She works full-time in the dental field. It is financially devastating to have to take the necessary time off that is needed for her body to recover from surgery alone.
Please consider donating, sending a prayer, or helping in any way you can. We appreciate all of the amazing people in her life and our community.
