I am creating this gofundme page to help my sister who is fighting stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. She started chemotherapy on 5/6/2025. Her treatment plan is Chemotherapy for 5-6 months, then surgery to remove the cancer, 5-6 weeks to heal, and then radiation for another 5-6 weeks. We are thinking this will equate to 9 months for the two treatments and surgery and then 3 months of recovery time(not in that order). Her port got infected with Staff two weeks after having it put in and she now has the expense of bandages and products to clean the wound which is not healing very fast due to the chemotherapy. Jessica lives alone and has all the expenses like rent and utilities to pay herself while not working and trying to fight cancer. Her insurance has co-pays on everything. For each chemotherapy treatment she must pay a 60.00 co-pay on a shot to regrow her good blood cells and 45.00 on the pills. She had to buy cold gloves for her hands and feet to wear while receiving the chemotherapy to fight the neuropathy the chemotherapy gives her. She had to buy this out of pocket because the cold treatments the hospital was going to provide were not covered by her insurance and very costly. Our goal is to raise enough for:

• 12 months of rent and utilities (to cover her for the 6 months of Chemotherapy, 3 months for surgery to remove the lump and recovery, 3 months for the radiation and time to heal from it enough to get back to work.

• The co-pays that her insurance doesn’t cover.

• Gas for the 48 miles round trip to the hospital for treatments, surgery, and radiation.
