Aid for Jason Cribbs' Medical Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are writing today to help Jason Cribbs, The Tree Man. After a string of medical and professional misfortunes, Jason and his family are facing significant financial burdens. Jason Cribbs is the sole provider for the family as his wife stays home to take on the task of the house, raising the children, and caring for the grandchildren, as well as caring for his elderly handicapped mother. He also provides work for multiple family members through his arborist business, The Tree Man.
Back in the beginning of September 2024, Jason was admitted to the hospital due to a stroke, where he was later diagnosed with diabetes. Just a few short weeks later in the same month, Jason was readmitted to the hospital for a massive heart attack that scared the whole family.
In October of 2024, the bucket truck for his family-owned business, The Tree Man, caught fire mid-job, just after returning from helping families and giving out donations to those who were able to be reached at the time, in some of the most affected areas in western North Carolina from the hurricane that came through in September.
In November/December of 2024, Jason was admitted to the hospital due to a massive heart attack. Due to the holidays and some unforeseen weather, there was a massive amount of cancellations for jobs.
On January 3rd, while working what should have been an easy tree job, Jason was struck in the back, neck, and head by a tree that did not fall the way it was supposed to.
After being struck by a tree on the job, he was immediately rushed to the hospital where he had to undergo emergency surgery to correct and fix the vertebra and nerves in his head, neck, and spine. Now, with metal in his spine, he is unable to work until cleared by a doctor.
