Update:

James ended up having cellulitis. Doctors said cellulitis is very severe rapid spreading bacteria that's life threatening with how quickly it spreads and with it being so close to his eyes it was scary. They said if we waited any longer or if it had abcessed behind his eye it would have been really critical really fast. They aren't sure what came 1st the swollen tonsils or the sinus infection but even with the swelling down in his tonsils they are still really big so they want him to be seen by an ENT to follow up with his tonsils being removed. James was able to tolerate the oral antibiotics so they were released and they were able to go home. James is doing much better and he’s so happy to be home with his sister and brother. He will most likely have to have surgery soon to have his tonsils removed so this does not happen again. Again thank you so much for your support and for helping our family in this scary time ❤️

Hello my name is Jenny and I’m asking for help for my Great Nephew James. James is the son of Chris and Asia McWithey. James has been sick and yesterday Chris and Asia took him to the ER in Redding and the Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They did a CT scan and found that James has a lot of swelling and fluid behind his eyes. This concerned the doctors and they decided it would be best to fly him out. James is now at UC Davis in Sacramento waiting on more testing. Chris and Asia have 2 other small children at home so one of them will have to travel back and forth to make sure that their other children are taken care of. We aren’t sure how long they will be in the hospital for and hopefully it’s not long but as of now the doctors have no idea what is going on. I’m hoping that this go fund me will help with the costs of food, traveling back and forth and hotel money. Chis is the sole provider for the family and is not able to work right now so he can be with James. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you so much in advance!!
