Hi, my name is Shevon and I’m a Jamaican living in Canada. I’m raising funds to help families in Jamaica — including my own — who were displaced and devastated by Hurricane Melissa, particularly in my hometown of Garlands, Montego Bay.
The western side of the island has been hit hard. Many families have lost their roofs, homes, clean water, and basic supplies. Some are sleeping under broken structures, unable to rebuild or access safe drinking water.
This fundraiser will provide:
• Roofing zinc sheets, tarpaulins and nails
• Clean water & purification tablets
• Temporary shelter materials
• Basic supplies for displaced families
There are many large organizations currently active, yet countless small communities have still not been acknowledged or helped. They often struggle to deliver support quickly or transparently. Because of this, I decided to step in and help in any way I can, with the support of kind-hearted individuals who want to make a real impact.
I will personally manage the funds and ensure every dollar goes directly to affected families — many of whom urgently need it.
I will provide:
• Receipts for all supplies purchased
• Photos and videos of distribution
• Updates showing exactly who is being helped
• Full transparency throughout the entire process
I’m committed to helping as many families as possible rebuild their lives after this disaster. Even a small donation can make a huge difference:
• $25 → Clean water for a family
• $50 → One emergency tarp
• $100 → Lumber, nails, and roof repair materials
• $250 → Helps rebuild a family’s roof
• Any amount helps keep a family safe from harsh conditions and provides clean water and food when they have none.
Please support and share this fundraiser. Your kindness can help a family in Jamaica start rebuilding today.
Thank you, and God bless. ❤️
