My dear sister Holly and her three young sons—Henry (9), James (6), and Oliver (4)—are facing an unimaginable tragedy. Holly’s husband, Alan, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 9/6. He woke up with a headache that seemed minor, but by that afternoon, he had suffered a massive stroke. There was no warning, and no time to say goodbye.
Alan was an incredible man—a devoted husband, loving father, and passionate teacher. He worked full-time as a Carteret Junior High School history teacher, where he inspired countless students every day. Even after long days in the classroom, he coached soccer late into the evenings, sometimes up to seven days a week, giving all of his energy to his students and players. He also loved supporting the boys in Cub Scouts at Pack 66, cheering them on at events like the Pinewood Derby and helping them earn their scouting badges. He truly gave everything he had to the people he loved.
At home, Alan’s love and joy filled every corner of the house. Henry loved playing soccer in the backyard with his dad after long coaching days. Saturday nights were James’s favorite—sharing popcorn and a Disney movie with Daddy. And little Oliver cherished snuggling in bed with Alan, watching Blippi, reading books, and giggling as Daddy tickled him.
Now Holly is doing her best to stay strong for the boys, while facing the heavy emotional and financial weight of losing the man who held their world together. This GoFundMe is to help provide stability for Holly and the boys—to cover immediate expenses and keep their home.
Every donation, share, and prayer will make a difference. Please help Holly, Henry, James, and Oliver during this incredibly difficult time. Your love and generosity mean more than words can express.
