On Thursday, November 7th, Hailey and Levi Kurta unexpectedly  lost  their sweet baby boy, Memphis Allen Kurta. 

Hailey and Levi are devastated, but grateful for the love and support of family and friends who are surrounding them.  This gofundme is designed to help cover funeral expenses  and any other expenses to help Hailey and Levi in their time of need.

I first met Hailey and Levi 2 years ago.  I was a registered nurse at the local hospital, and  had the pleasure of taking care of their family just following the birth of their first born son, Kolton. I will never forget watching as Levi became a dad, watching how closely he loved and adored his wife and his new child.  He was literally the most excited new father I have ever seen.  I can still hear in my head as he lovingly supported Hailey by never leaving her side and how he showed his affection for her by calling her "sweets". 

Hailey seemed nervous to be a mom, but she took to it perfectly. She was engaged with that baby from the moment she set eyes on him and she quickly settled into her new found mama bear role. 

Following the delivery of Kolton, Levi and I met several times at the local hardware store. He and I became fast friends. Over the past several years he has literally gone above and beyond for me and my family. From fixing our HVAC system, fixing our plumbing, explaining how to do this that or the other, and being an extremely pleasant and positive person all the time.  He has truly been a great friend to me and he is somebody that I look up to. 

When my wife and heard about the passing of Baby Memphis we felt it was absolutely important to help raise funds to support this family through one of the toughest times imaginable. 

Money of course wont fix the hole in their hearts for the loss of their sweet baby. But we believe it is important that we look at tragedy and see where we can help fill in the gaps. How can we be a true neighbor to those who have been so neighborly to others?

Tonight it became even more pressing that we help the Kurta family as we found out that since baby Memphis did not make it to day 5 of life, that his life insurance policy will never be placed into effect. Apparently insurance companies believe that life begins after 5 days. This fact is unacceptable to me. 

I'm not asking you to empty your savings, I'm not asking you to go into debt, but I will ask that you give up a coffee, a trip to fast food or something else. Give up $1, $3, $5- it doesn't have to be a huge amount to make a difference. If you can give $20, $30, $50, $100, that would be hugely appreciated, but seriously help however you can.   ANYTHING Helps!

Our sweet baby boy was born Monday afternoon at 12:23, and was called home to our Heavenly Father Thursday morning. Words can’t express the love we have for our little boy and how much we will miss him.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words and love you have shown our family during this very hard time. He will be in our hearts forever and always
