Aid for Gabriel's Legal Battle and Recovery

First off, I just want to say to whoever this cross paths with- thank you for taking the time to hear our story. My name is Christina Oliver, I am currently working on my nursing degree. I am Gabriel Oliver’s sister, the one creating this go fund me for him. As a family we moved here in 2010. It’s just me, my mom, my little brother, my little sister and my nana. And of course my brother Gabriel. Over the years my brother hasn’t had anyone to look up to. We have been trying to make it here since we moved here. We lean on eachother on hard times, because we are the only support that we have. I’m only mentioning this because I think it is important to have some context for what I am about to reveal here. Many people know my brother, he has a big kind heart. Always trying to help and find his way. Over the years he has fallen in the wrong crowd and unfortunately has given into drugs. We have tried countless times to try and get him the help he needs. But we all know the battle with drugs is a hard one. Right now my brother is in jail. He is looking at 15- 30 years. I would be around 50 when he would get out. On this most recent Mother’s Day, he got pulled over with fentanyl. My brother is a drug addict and he needs help. He is not a malicious soul. Gabriel needs mental, rehabilitation help. My brother does not belong with hurtful people. He is only 25 years old. He still has his whole life ahead of him. We so badly - want to see him make it. We as a family had hesitation telling his story because we know that what has happened can not be taken lightly . We only hope that the community can see that he deserves better than this. The money that we would acquire would go towards a lawyer that could help lessen his sentence. This is Gabes first serious charge and we do not want to see his life thrown away because he is struggling mentally. I know we are strangers, our desire is to tell his story in only hopes that you guys can see how much he means to us. My brother is my bestfriend and the only male figure we have in our lives. We are trying to get this right as as family. We are fully aware that his actions deserve consequences and in no way do we believe that he should just be let off easy. We just do not want to see him gone for what is projected to be. Again thank you for your time. Anything and everything helps .
