For those who know Ferman, he has been in the hospital since Wednesday, May 6, due to extremely high blood pressure and confusion. The neurologist confirmed that he suffered a major stroke and was also diagnosed with Stage 1 diabetes. Right now, the doctors are working on lowering and stabilizing his blood pressure before he can safely return home.

He is still very tired and sleepy, and the doctors believe it is a combination of the strokes and sleep apnea. At the moment, they are not treating the sleep apnea yet because he needs to undergo another sleep study before he can receive a new CPAP machine.

Since last year, their family has already been facing several difficult challenges, including ongoing septic tank issues at their home that still have not been resolved. There are times when they are unable to properly flush the toilet or take showers because of the problem. On top of that, Gretchen has also been dealing with her own health challenges and recovery. These ongoing hardships have already placed a heavy burden on them even before this medical emergency happened.

We are humbly asking for financial help to support them during this difficult time. Your support will help cover bills, groceries, medical-related expenses, and other necessities needed for Ferman’s recovery. The doctor said he will need home therapy for several weeks and will not be able to return to work immediately. His recovery may take weeks or even months, which will create financial hardship, especially since Ferman is the main provider for their family.
